About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a Primary School in the King's Heath area. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual support to SEN students in a 1:1 setting
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to implement inclusive strategies that cater to diverse needs, abilities, and learning styles
  • Promote active participation and engagement in the learning experience
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment that fosters academic success
Requirements
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree
  • Training in TeamTeach and/or Makaton
  • Experience working in a Primary School setting
  • Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviours
