Diesel Engine Technician

Orion Electrotech is a well-established and reputable company seeking a Diesel Engine Technician to join their Rail business field service team. This is a full-time position with a salary of £41,760 per annum.
The ideal candidate will be a positive team player with a self-starter attitude and have ideally 2 or more years experience maintaining/repairing large commercial diesel engines. Recent commercial diesel apprenticeship graduates who can demonstrate they have the required aptitude are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing rolling stock diesel engine maintenance/repair on clients' sites, diagnosing engine systems and performing diesel engine repairs, delivering technical advice to our clients, and maintaining good housekeeping and completing work orders on equipment in a timely manner.
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience maintaining/repairing diesel engines on job site or vocational/trade school environment
- A full & clean valid driver's license
- The ability to work with heavy components
