Gastroenterology Consultant

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Gastroenterology Consultant to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will work closely with the current team of Consultant Gastroenterologists, Specialty Doctors, Nurse Endoscopists, Surgeons, and Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide high-quality patient care. The principal duties and responsibilities include providing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI Endoscopy, participating in governance, quality improvement, audit, and teaching, and participating in the Gastroenterology on-call rota. The trust is looking to appoint a locum consultant to join a busy and innovative DGH, with a full range of endoscopy services provided in two endoscopy suites. The Gastroenterology Service at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare is based primarily at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, providing emergency and non-emergency services to a community of over 535,000 people. The trust is committed to providing excellent patient care and has been rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. The successful candidate will be expected to have a good standard of written English and will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The salary for this role is £105,504 to £139,882 per annum, depending on experience.
