Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Gastroenterology Consultant to join its expanding and progressive department. The successful candidate will work within the team and be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI Endoscopy. The principal duties and responsibilities include participating in governance, quality improvement, audit, and teaching, as well as participating in the Gastroenterology on-call rota. The trust is looking to appoint a locum consultant to join a busy and innovative DGH. The Gastroenterology Service at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare is based primarily at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill. We provide a full range of endoscopy services which are provided in two endoscopy suites, one sited on the East Surrey site and one at Crawley Hospital totaling 6 rooms. Our services are rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission and we strive to be a beacon for safety in all that we do. We are committed to providing emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon. The successful candidate will have evidence of a good standard of written English appropriate to the role. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. The salary for this role is £105,504 to £139,882 per annum (depending on experience).
