Job Title: Academic Leader in Physics Education

Location: Greenwich, South East London

This position involves leading the Physics department at a reputable secondary school with 'Good' Ofsted rating. As an Academic Leader in Physics Education, you will be responsible for teaching KS4 & KS5 Physics, with full autonomy over curriculum design.

The role offers excellent TLR opportunities for experienced teachers, along with a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (Inner London + TLR options), depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging Physics curricula
  • Lead a team of Physics teachers to achieve outstanding results
  • Mentor and support colleagues to improve their practice
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives to enhance student progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong academic record, including a degree, A Levels, and GCSEs
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
