About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Haemostasis Clinical Fellow to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). The successful candidate will work within the adult Haemostasis/Liaison Team, attending benign Haematology clinics, including general and subspecialty clinics, and providing mentorship for the Haemostasis SpR who rotates on a four monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Benign Haematology nursing and administration team to facilitate high-quality care for patients.
  • Provide mentorship for the Haemostasis SpR who rotates on a four monthly basis.
  • Attend benign Haematology clinics, including general and subspecialty clinics.
  • Respond to GP queries through the electronic advice and guidance system.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within Haematology and other specialties.

Requirements
  • 4 years or more full-time postgraduate experience in an adult general medicine specialty relevant to Haematology.
  • Experience working in Haematology.
  • Good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Good relationships and communication with patients.
  • Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice.
Skills and Abilities
  • Evidence of achievement of competencies at ST3 Haematology or above in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice.
  • Good clinical care.
  • Maintaining good medical practice.
  • Good teaching and training.
  • Professional behaviour and probity.
  • Delivery of good acute clinical care.
  • Evidence of experience and enthusiasm for teaching.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date and fit to practise safely.
