Job Title: Solutions Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Analyst to join our Data Management and Digital Applications Development team at NHS North Of England Commissioning Support Unit.

  • Gathering requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks, and workflow analysis.
  • Analysing existing systems and performing gap analysis based on requirements.
  • Creating acceptance criteria/scenarios to verify client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
  • Maintaining and owning the project backlog, ensuring items are written to a high level of quality.
  • Working with teams to verify understanding of requirements throughout project stages.

  • Ensure the Product Backlog is maintained and up to date with the right information at the right time.
  • Identify related requirements and functionality in larger projects, providing a framework to support Product Backlog management.
  • Examine existing system and business models, analysing business requirements from users or specialists.
  • Assist in the overall management and performance of the IT Systems and Product Development team.
  • Responsible for planning, design, and development of major information systems to meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have strong experience in elicitation, analysis, and documentation of Business Requirements, as well as experience in drawing up, supervising, and documenting testing schedules.

  • Communicate complex technical issues to internal and external customers.
  • Devise and deliver specialist training to internal staff and external customers.
  • Manage multiple complex projects to a successful conclusion, with multiple customers/users, using structured methodologies.
