HGV Maintenance Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated HGV Maintenance Technician to join our team at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Ayr. As a HGV Technician, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport and society at large.

As a Light Vehicle Technician converting to a HGV technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of systems which include alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid and full electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
  • Diagnose and rectify faults using a variety of diagnostic tools
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds / A Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles is recommended; however, Level 2 or similar qualification will be considered.
  • Light Vehicle experience - ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience on cars, vans, plants or motorbikes.
  • Attitude and willingness to work in the Truck Industry as well as relevant experience working on vehicles.
