Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Science Technician to join our team at South Ayrshire Council. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to our Science Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratories and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the provision of an efficient and effective technician service within the Science Department.
• Work under the direction of the Head Teacher to ensure the smooth operation of our laboratories and equipment.
• Provide technical support to our Science Department, including maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Collaborate with our Science Department to develop and implement new projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Grade 2 / Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory or technical support role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Competitive hourly rate from £17.28 to £18.70.
• Annual salary from £31, to £34,.

• The successful candidate will work from a designated office location.
