Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to PMLD pupils, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist pupils with challenging behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Strong academic background, with a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working with pupils, ideally in a school setting or with a care background.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training, or willingness to complete.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service.
  • Two professional references, available upon request.
