We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a strong sports background to join our school in Chichester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use sports and physical activities as tools to promote engagement, teamwork, and positive behaviours.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement sports-based interventions to support students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and deliver lesson plans that incorporate sports and physical activities.
  • Provide individualized support to students, focusing on their academic and personal development.

Requirements:

  • A background in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students through sports and physical activities.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with excellent teamwork skills.

The successful candidate will be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service declarations in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.

You will also be required to provide 2 professional references covering at least the last 2 years, and complete our online application followed by a video or face-to-face interview.
