Bury College is seeking a highly skilled SEND Advisory Tutor to join its Additional Learning Support Team (ALS). The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across all campuses and venues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and review support for learners within the curriculum areas of Foundations and Prospects.
  • Deliver additional learning support covering a range of disciplines, including English, Maths, ESOL, SLDD, SpLD, and MLD.
  • Work with young adults with additional needs, setting targets and recording progress.
  • Hold a specialist qualification for teaching students with learning difficulties or disabilities, or a postgraduate qualification in Individual Specialist Assessment/SPLD Level 7.
  • Experience of working within Education and Health Care Plan guidelines and using the RARPA quality assured process is essential.
