Electronics Test Support Specialist

Ontic, a leading provider of Extended Life Solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Test Support Engineer to join our Production Engineering team based at our Head Office in Cheltenham to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for the setup and validation of Electronic Test Equipment for a variety of electronic products for the aviation and aerospace industries. Examples of products you'll be working with include Fuel Measurement, Audio Communications, Propeller Control, Radar, Compass, Clocks, Engine Management, Avionics, and Cockpit Instruments.

In addition, you'll carry out regular troubleshooting and debugging of faulty electronic assemblies (PCBAs) to component level, determining root cause and advising of corrective actions. You'll partner closely with colleagues across the business to include Quality, Sustainment Engineering, Test Equipment Engineering, and external suppliers.

Requirements:

You'll need to have previous experience as an Electronics Test Engineer. Ideally, you'll have gained (or be working towards) a HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) qualification in Electronics.

You'll be able to demonstrate experience working with Analogue or/and Digital products and enthusiasm for supporting production. You'll be able to test electronic circuits and fault find to component level.

You'll have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate across several departments internally and suppliers externally.
