We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join our team in Lincoln. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio, preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns, and drafting financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse client base, including monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Draft financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Review work completed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Lead liaison with HMRC, including preparing letters for senior review and reviewing letters prepared by junior staff
- Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem-solving
- Deal with compliance work, including payment advice letters
- Work closely with other departments, such as audit, to obtain relevant information
- Stay up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
- Delegate work to junior staff, overseeing workflow and quality control
