Job Title: Medical Lead - Haematology Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lead - Haematology Expert to join our team at AbbVie. As a Medical Lead, you will be responsible for representing the affiliate's medical/scientific voice for assigned licensed and pipeline products and relevant therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned product(s)/relevant therapeutic area(s) through attendance at key internal meetings/training sessions and congresses.
  • Provide expert medical/scientific advice for assigned products and related therapeutic areas; respond to requests for scientific/technical information; contribute to the development of core dossiers generated by the medical, regulatory, and market access departments.
  • Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders, academic centers, and relevant scientific societies.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals and deliver training to Company departments, as required.
  • Clinical Research Activities:
    • Design and implement clinical research projects within defined standards and budgets.
    • Provide the required oversight to manage review, approval, and conduct of Investigator Initiated studies.
    • Support the affiliate Clinical Research Department in the management of clinical studies, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline. Medical degree or higher scientific degree preferred.
  • Significant experience working within the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs.
  • Significant experience leading teams, managing direct reports, and mentoring colleagues.
  • Knowledge of drug development, clinical research, and real-world evidence generation.
  • Expert knowledge in oncology/haematology is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of relevant compliance, procedures, and codes of conduct.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is highly desirable.
  • Experienced contributor to cross-functional teams and working in matrix organizations.
