We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the position of Heavy Machinery Engineering Apprentice at Briggs Equipment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery across various locations in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as basic knowledge of health and safety principles. You will work closely with experienced engineers to develop your skills and complete apprenticeship tasks independently.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the success of our company. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, plus benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday, and a brand-new stocked toolbox.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of heavy machinery
  • Assistance with fault finding and diagnosis
  • Workshop-based training and development
  • Development of problem-solving skills

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English, Science & Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work under pressure and manage own workload
