A large retail organisation based in Watford is looking for a Financial Planning and ESG Analyst to join their team.
Your new roleReporting to the Planning, Treasury & ESG Reporting Manager, this position involves the analysis and reporting of management information. Key duties will include weekly sales reports and projections, 3-period updates, annual budgets, 5-year business plans, various treasury related tasks and the gathering and reporting of ESG data.
- To be heavily involved in coordinating and managing from start to finish the 3-period update process, annual budgets and assisting with updating the 5 year business plan.
- Become conversant and familiar with the functionality and structure of the AS400 financial planning module and the Global OneStream reporting system.
- Responsibility for tracking and verifying bank, card charges, interest receipts and accruals.
- Provide support and recommendations in gathering and analysing data metrics for ESG reporting.
Applicants to the Financial Planning Department should be currently studying towards a formal accounting qualification with a definitive and confirmed study plan.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Level Excel skills and good understanding of financial reporting systems.
Strong analytical skills are required with the ability to accurately manipulate large amounts of data from multiple sources.
Candidate must be a team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be comfortable in liaising at all levels, including senior management, in all areas of the business.
Initial training will be provided, but the candidate must be highly motivated, a fast learner and show plenty of initiative.
