Carter Jonas is seeking an experienced MRICS surveyor to join our infrastructure team in Birmingham. As an associate partner, you will play a key role in providing property services with a rural focus, including compensation and valuation of rural land and property.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality technical work, including valuation of rural land and property, negotiation of compensation claims, and development of new business opportunities.
- Assist in leading, developing, and delivering strategic advice to clients in the infrastructure sector.
- Manage and deliver projects, including programme and budgeting autonomy, with the support of the senior management team and partners.
- Develop and undertake new business/relationship opportunities and drive forward initiatives in the local area with a particular focus on claimants/landowners.
- Implement policy as required and ensure legal compliance on all work carried out.
- Mentor and coach junior members of the team through their professional development.
We are looking for an MRICS surveyor with experience gained within the rural sector, ideally a Fellow of the CAAV, and a strong understanding of compulsory purchase/compensation knowledge. You must also be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of relevant legislation and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A business development-orientated attitude, with a key focus on providing excellent customer service, is essential for this role. Rural surveying experience would also be advantageous as we work across the rural division as well as commercial and residential aspects of rural land and property.
