Job Title: Certification Manager

Mydas Recruitment, a specialist engineering and technical recruitment consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Certification Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the certification and regulatory compliance of offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest offshore wind regulations and develop strategies to ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Act as the liaison between the company, third parties, and external certification bodies to facilitate audits, reviews, and offshore visits.
  • Interpret and apply industry standards to project requirements and develop internal processes that align with certification needs.
  • Monitor project timelines and costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to certification processes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risk exposure.
  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of all certification documentation and traceability, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Establish and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure that projects meet or exceed certification requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address any certification-related challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance certification methodologies, processes, and best practices for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in certification processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in the wind energy sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience with Aconex and SAP is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with certification bodies, product providers/suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management and mitigation.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of quality and compliance.

The position is based in the UK, on a hybrid basis, initially with attendance to the client's premises in London as projects kick off. Long-term contract/permanent role available with excellent salary and terms.
