We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychotherapist to join our team at a specialist secondary school near Nuneaton. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling young people with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) diagnosis and associated needs to thrive in a safe and supportive learning environment.
The school combines an evidence-informed education framework with a nurturing and cooperative atmosphere to support autistic pupils develop their creativity, confidence, and passion for learning. Our team is dedicated to helping pupils build their self-esteem, succeed in their social, emotional, and educational skill development, and discover new aspirations for their future.
As a Senior Psychotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and planning tailored therapeutic approaches for pupils, conducting age-appropriate 1:1 and group-based psychological interventions, and collaborating with internal and external colleagues to optimize support for each child and their loved ones.
You will also have access to further learning and clinical development opportunities, including clinical supervision and peer support, as part of a well-rounded CPD pathway.
This is a permanent, full-time role for a Senior Psychotherapist, working Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and plan tailored therapeutic approaches for pupils
- Conduct age-appropriate 1:1 and group-based psychological interventions
- Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to optimize support for each child and their loved ones
- Participate in further learning and clinical development opportunities
- Accreditation as a Psychotherapist in a relevant specialism
- Registration with a recognized UK psychotherapy regulatory body
- Professional experience in paediatrics, encompassing psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with SEN and mental health needs
