Exciting Opportunity for a Temporary to Permanent Assistant Treasury Accountant

We are thrilled to partner with a dynamic business in the Coventry Town Centre to recruit for a temporary to permanent Assistant Treasury Accountant role. This position will support the Head of Finance with a range of tasks, offering a unique chance to gain experience and skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and provide updates on bank balances to management.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations across multiple accounts in various currencies.
  • Process manual payments and BACS payment runs.
  • Post general journals as part of month-end responsibilities.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to resolve day-to-day banking queries.
  • Reconcile credit cards on a daily basis and journal post accruals and prepayments.
  • Assist the sales ledger team with raising sales invoices on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Support with cash allocation tasks, liaising with credit control to match unallocated payments.
  • Perform various balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end.
  • Assist the purchase ledger team with supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Support the financial accounting team with specific ad-hoc tasks.
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
  • Previous experience with reconciliation tasks.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to challenge questionable items within the business and confidently raise thoughts on issues.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Immediate availability or a short notice period, with the ability to start work quickly.
