Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Barking and Dagenham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Students with SEN: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, helping them to develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive classroom environment, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
  • Classroom Management: Assist with classroom management and behavior support, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student success.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SEN: Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable, but not essential.
