Event Kitchen Assistant Role

We are seeking a motivated and organized Event Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Aligra Bristol. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs in preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Support with food storage, stock rotation, and inventory control to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure all food items are stored at the correct temperatures, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they are visually appealing.
  • Support chefs with ingredient preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning.
  • Assist with cleaning of dishes, cutlery, and kitchenware as required.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards customers and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
