Job Overview

MorePeople is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support the financial objectives of our client in the food manufacturing industry. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, driving operational improvements, and enhancing overall profitability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Engagement: Collaborate closely with the site's General Manager and production teams to understand operations, including stock control, stock management, and stock intake.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to minimize financial losses and enhance profitability by asking the right questions, challenging current processes, and suggesting improvements.
  • Business Partnering: Build strong relationships across the site, ensuring clear understanding and communication of financial results.
  • Support Site Performance: Provide real-time financial insights and guidance to support the manufacturing team's decision-making, driving continuous improvement and operational success.
  • Daily Financial Results: Deliver accurate on-site financial results, helping steer the team toward meeting performance targets.

Requirements:

  • A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent.
  • Ideal experience from a food manufacturing background, but general manufacturing experience will be considered.
  • Solid understanding of financial controls, stock management, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, influencing change, and explaining financial data to non-financial personnel.
  • Strong ability to translate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
