Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Relief Social Care Worker to join our team at Fife Council. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable older people in our care homes, respite units, and day services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each service user.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Monitor and review care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.

Requirements

  • Qualification in social care or a related field (or willingness to work towards).
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults, particularly older people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
