Exciting Packaging Opportunity

Harrison Scott Associates is seeking a talented Packaging Technologist to join their team. As a key member of the packaging development team, you will be responsible for leading packaging projects from brief through to final product stages, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement packaging solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  3. Conduct robust pack testing and packaging line trials to ensure packaging integrity and safety.
  4. Develop and manage technical component specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Source and procure packaging materials and components from suppliers, negotiating prices and lead times.
  6. Monitor and report on packaging performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  7. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  1. Qualified in a packaging or related scientific field, with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a packaging development/technologist role.
  2. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  4. Knowledge of printing processes, artwork, and packaging materials, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
