Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer of cutting-edge processing equipment. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimising electrical systems and components for our range of processing and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for processing and packaging equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards
- Utilise electrical CAD software and design tools, including AutoCAD and EPLAN
- Develop strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, PLCs, HMIs, and motor control
- Knowledge of PLC hardware and software, including Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, and Siemens
- Knowledge of industrial networking systems, including Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, RS282, and RS485
Requirements:
- Qualified to HNC/HND standard or above in an electrical engineering related subject
- Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within the food/processing or packaging industry
- Practical electrical wiring experience
- Mechanical experience beneficial
