Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and direct site staff and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe site operations.
  2. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop corrective action plans as needed.
  4. Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  5. Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  6. Maintain high-quality site operations, including managing site resources, equipment, and materials.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in construction site management, with a strong background in health and safety and risk management.
  2. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct site staff and subcontractors.
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  4. Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and company policies.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Commercial fit-out experience working in warehouses and offices.
  2. Experience with warehouse fit-out installation projects, including mezzanine floors, racking, partition walling, and interior fits out.
  3. SMSTS, Emergency First Aid, and Temporary Works Coordinator/supervisor qualifications.
  4. Up-to-date knowledge of building legislation and health and safety obligations.
