About the Role

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Instructor to join our team. As a Mathematics Instructor, you will be responsible for providing personalized instruction to students, addressing specific academic areas of difficulty, and recovering from educational setbacks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality instruction to students in mathematics, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating research-based strategies and resources to promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in mathematics education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Valid Virginia Teaching Certificate/License with an endorsement in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching at-risk youth, preferably in a part-time capacity.
