About the Role

Safran Seats is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aerospace Design Architect to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing innovative and sustainable product architectures that meet the evolving market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new product designs and structure the product in Smarteam
  • Manage product maturity and development in Smarteam
  • Lead design efforts for packages of work or small programs and develop and manage packages of work within the team
  • Manage a small team of engineers
  • Maintain engineering quality and integrity of work produced within their work package
  • Design and detail modeling of suite components to meet Product Line requirements
  • Monitor and manage cost and weight targets
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers and manage data transfer
  • Organize and participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the Product Line development process
  • Ensure successful integration of each design element with the product as a whole
  • Follow and contribute to the development of Best Practice guidelines as laid out in BMS documentation
  • Check engineering packages
