Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Health Your Way. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with a chromosome 15 disorder, severe learning difficulties, Autism, and drug-resistant epilepsy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide support with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management.
  • Accompany the individual on outings and activities, promoting social interaction and engagement.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using a wheelchair as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the individual's quality of life.

Requirements

  • Valid full driving license.
  • Enhanced DBS check (cost met by the employer).
  • Epilepsy training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.50.
  • 5.6 weeks' annual leave pro rata.
  • Full certificated training on all aspects of the role.

Working Hours

  • 8 hours per week, usually worked in one shift/day.
  • Occasional weekend work may be possible.
