What Is the Opportunity?

Our Software Engineering team is responsible for enabling a seamless customer experience through technology solutions. As a Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in growing and transforming our Technology landscape by completing advanced end-to-end engineering tasks. You'll provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, leveraging your consulting skills and problem-solving ability to lead interactions between various systems and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications, manage interaction between the systems, and define technical requirements and coordinate team resources to solve problems.
  2. Guide the team to tackle problems at differentiating levels of complexity.
  3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on complex engineering solutions while fostering a team environment.
  4. Design, develop, analyze, configure, test, debug, troubleshoot, document, health monitor/alert, and implement software based on user or system specifications.
  5. Collaborate with a robust team of engineers to sharpen your skills, learn various emerging technologies, and work on key business initiatives.
  6. Research and apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions for software engineering problems.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Programming/development experience focused on Java 11 or greater, with strong working knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices (SOAP, REST), HTML/CSS/Javascript, Git/GitHub.
  2. Proficient in API design and implementation, with experience in architecting and developing robust RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and external systems, ensuring scalability, security, and ease of integration.
  3. Experience designing and implementing data-driven applications using relational and NoSQL databases.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless computing platforms such as AWS Lambda.
  5. Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud-native/containerized applications in scalable environments.
  6. The ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace to achieve commitments, deliver complete solutions, but release them in small batches, and identify and negotiate important trade-offs.
  7. Demonstrated track record of domain expertise, including the ability to understand technical concepts and industry trends, and possess in-depth knowledge of immediate systems worked on and some knowledge of adjacent systems.
  8. Strong problem solver who ensures systems are built with longevity and creates innovative ways to resolve issues.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate well with team members and business partners.
  10. Ability to lead team members and help create a safe environment for others to learn and grow as engineers.
