Energy Efficiency Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Community Energy Advisor to join our team at M Group Services. As a Community Energy Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing telephone energy advice and solutions to residents across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Our goal is to help individuals keep warm during colder months and reduce their energy bills. You will work closely with vulnerable members of society, requiring empathy, understanding, and confidence to effectively communicate and identify risks or home improvement needs.
This role can be hybrid, working from our Sutton or Aylesbury office, or can be done remotely (must be based in the UK).
Key Responsibilities:- Advise residents on effective energy use, considering their individual circumstances via telephone.
- Use initiative to provide solutions to residents' energy challenges and usage.
- Collaborate with internal departments to deliver our full range of services.
- Accurately document all resident engagement in line with company processes.
- Ensure safe handling of customer-sensitive personal data in line with our data protection policy.
- Decide on the most appropriate communication means and deliver updates, advice, and referrals to customers and colleagues.
- Identify and follow company guidelines for safeguarding concerns.
- Update CRM software systems and MS Office systems proficiently.
- Recognize when to escalate queries and opportunities.
- Steer conversations and keep calls on track, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Undertake telephone assessment services for vulnerable individuals, providing support and general energy efficiency advice.
- Promptly identify opportunities for conversion to book a full energy advice call/home visit.
- Previous experience or background in energy efficiency.
- Recognized qualifications such as DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) or other energy efficiency qualifications.
- Current expertise in traditional and renewable energy solutions.
- Confidence to advise residents on effective energy use, relative to their individual circumstances via phone.
- Knowledge of CRM systems (we use ZOHO).
- Salary up to £28,500.
