Procurement Specialist

Job Purpose:
The Materials Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best quality products, goods and services at the most competitive prices to meet the operational needs of the organisation. This includes supplier selection, negotiation and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and purchasing materials and goods
• Supplier selection and negotiation
• Contract management
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers
Requirements:
• 3+ years of relevant purchasing experience – manufacturing or engineering
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Good level of education – A Level or equivalent
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Ideally experience of ERP
• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate
• Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative
• Strong co-ordination, interpersonal and organisational skills
