Assistant Buyer Job Summary

The Assistant Buyer will play a key role in supporting the Senior Buyer and Buyer in sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory to meet the needs of the organisation. This involves assisting with supplier negotiations, order placement, and inventory management to ensure timely delivery of quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet the needs of the organisation

• Support the Senior Buyer and Buyer in managing inventory and ensuring timely delivery of quality products

• Assist with supplier negotiations and order placement

• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to ensure compliance with procurement policies

Requirements:

• Good solid education in English, Math, and IT

• Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role is preferred

• Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is desirable

• Basic understanding of market research, data analysis, and purchasing principles

• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task and time-management skills

• Ability to build effective collaborative working relationships

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
