Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure the company's Health and Safety Management systems are effective and compliant with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety policies, procedures, and documentation, including safe working practices, training materials, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to and regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Oversee the company's compliance with statutory obligations related to health, safety, and welfare at work, including training and reporting requirements.
  • Investigate and document all accidents and near misses, implementing recommended improvements to prevent future incidents.
  • Represent the company's interests in Employer's Liability claims, ensuring prompt and efficient processing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external bodies, such as the Health and Safety Executive, Public Health England, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Establish a robust program of Health and Safety inspections, audits, and checks to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement a structured Health and Safety training program, maintaining accurate records of training and compliance.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with a standard working week of 38 hours, Monday to Thursday.
