Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting, working closely with children and supporting their academic and emotional development.
Job Summary:This is a full-time, long-term position that requires a Psychology graduate with a passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young learners. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide academic and emotional support to students, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Use your psychology background to help students develop coping strategies and improve their social skills.
- Support children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, focusing on promoting their mental well-being and educational progress.
- Play an active role in fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- A Psychology degree or related field.
- Prior experience working with children or young adults, whether in an educational, coaching, or mentoring capacity, is highly desirable.
- A keen interest in SEN, mental health, or child development.
- Up-to-date safeguarding training is beneficial (although this can be provided).
