Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Technician to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our critical services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service support within our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Support: Provide timely and effective service support to our data centre facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our data centre equipment and systems.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Escalation and Communication: Escalate any issues or concerns to the relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS systems, BMS operation, emergency standby generators, and electrical system testing.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of [insert experience] years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service support and maintenance.
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, such as City & Guilds 236 parts 1 & 2 (or later) 17th Edition or equivalent.

You will be required to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, and may be required to work at heights and on roofs.
