Electrical Inspector Wanted for 6-Month Contract

Job Description:

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is currently seeking an Electrical Inspector for a 6-month contract. The role will be based on a rate of £16.03/hour PAYE and will involve a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out response-led and regular inspections of premises to determine work requirements, priorities, and costs, reporting to the Senior Inspector.
  • Conduct written annual inspections of electrical services for properties, providing recommendations and discussing with other relevant team members as part of the asset management strategy.
  • Respond to emergency requests for necessary electrical repair work and arrange for appropriate remedial action to be taken to make safe the repair.
  • Issue detailed repair instructions to internal and external contractors, check, agree, and verify submitted invoices prior to payment.
  • Supervise the standard and timely completion of repair work and minor projects, ensuring value for money, quality, and best practice.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the electrical services industry within the commercial services sector, preferably with practical site experience.
  • Contract management experience.
  • A current driving licence.
  • Additional relevant training and experience.
  • Proficient use of IT software such as CAFM systems, maintenance works ordering, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
