About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Workshop Controller to join our team at Northgate Vehicle Hire Limited. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of our modern workshop, equipped with the latest technology and manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools.

Your primary responsibility will be to maximise profitability, productivity, and efficiency of the workshop team, while ensuring that all work produced meets the highest technical and quality standards. You will work closely with our customers to deliver on their business promises and be a key point of contact for any queries or concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the workflow of the workshop team to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and analyse workshop performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard and meets customer expectations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve workshop processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive workshop operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement improvements to workshop processes and procedures.
