Caregiver for Children with Complex Needs

We are seeking an experienced Caregiver to join our team at Medsolve, a leading provider of care services. As a Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of our children are met consistently to a high standard.
You will be responsible for delivering therapeutic caregiving under the direction of our management team, working on a shift pattern that includes days, evenings, nights (when required), weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties, and subject to risk assessment long working hours.
Main Responsibilities and Duties- Care for Children: Demonstrate improvements in the lives of children and young people in our care, model relationship-based caregiving in all interactions, establish caring secure relationships, implement admission protocols, and work closely with children and young people to ascertain their wishes and feelings.
- Leadership: Implement policies, procedures, and practices regarding safeguarding and child protection, deliver our Services approach to childcare, engage in probation induction supervision, staff meetings, learning and development, and appraisal, model professional conduct, and work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and other professionals.
- To Manage a Care Team: Ensure each carer is aware of each child's care plan and responsibilities, provide supervisory control and direction, take responsibility for planning shifts, provide consultation and informal advice and support to carers, offer 1:1 supervision, contribute to team meetings, ensure carers' work within home policies, procedures, and Quality Standards & Regulations.
- Providing managerial control and direction, assisting with recruitment and retention, supervision of new starters, developing a management style, identifying and progressing individual training and development needs, undertaking annual appraisals, addressing issues related to conduct and competence, and undertaking management investigations when required.
- To assist the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager in implementing all aspects of the Statement of Purpose, run in-house workshops on childcare-related matters, drive company vehicles subject to policies and procedures, work on a rotational basis according to the needs of young people, ensure resources are allocated appropriately, maintain financial records accurately, receive supervision, take responsibility for personal development and progress, and carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed.
