The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons to pupils in KS3 & KS4, supporting their development and engagement with English.
  • Planning and preparing creative lessons that inspire and motivate students to participate in lessons.
  • Teaching based on the National Curriculum and helping pupils succeed in the subject.
  • Collaborating with the English Department to improve results.
  • Following Safeguarding and Behavioural policies.

The school requires a teacher who can handle challenging behaviour and uphold high standards in the classroom.

During your time in the placement, you will receive support with CPD trainings through the National College, continuous communication to ensure needs are met, and competitive pay.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A specialism in English and QTS.
  • Experience working in a secondary school.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Satisfactory References.
  • Right to work in the UK.

This role has the potential to be paid to scale, with a daily rate between £162.31- £223.62.
