Forklift Engineer Trainee

Are you passionate about mechanical systems and equipment maintenance? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Forklift Engineer Trainee.
SalaryThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £23,000 in the first year, increasing to £30,000 by the fourth year, subject to satisfactory performance.
About the RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to complete a 4-year apprenticeship programme with us. As a Forklift Engineer Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing various types of industrial equipment, including forklifts and powered access machines.
You will work closely with experienced engineers and mentors to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. Your tasks will include fault finding, servicing, and repairing equipment on customer premises and at our workshop locations within your specified region.
- In years 1-3, you will complete the Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard.
- You will gain independent on-the-job practical experience in year 4, undertaking further internal training to transition into a fully qualified engineer role.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A strong enthusiasm for engineering and problem-solving.
- Able to manage and prioritize workload independently.
- An understanding of good customer service principles.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
