This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Critical Care Consultant Physician to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can provide expert anaesthetic care to patients across various specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, and urology.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will participate in full on-call rotas for emergencies and resuscitations, working closely with intensive care and ED colleagues. The role involves pre, peri, and post-operative management of surgical patients, acute pain reviews, and safe transfer of critically ill patients. Additionally, the post-holder will provide teaching and mentorship to junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have completed at least two years of postgraduate training at CT1 and CT2 level in Anaesthetics, with completion of Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC) and Initial Assessment of Competence for Obstetric Anaesthesia (IACOA). A primary FRCA or equivalent overseas degree is also required. Experience in obstetrics is desirable.

Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
