Support and Care Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support and Care Specialist to join our team at BLACKSTONE RECRUITMENT LIMITED. As a Support and Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in our Supported Living Service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support individuals to administer or manage their medication and ensure the necessary medication is ordered and available for use.
- Arrange and accompany individuals to regular health and wellbeing appointments.
- Engage and guide individuals to develop social skills, home, and life skills.
- Support individuals to achieve planned goals and personal wishes and dreams.
- Guide individuals to access employment, education, and leisure opportunities if desired.
- Support individuals to become active and valued members of the community.
- Provide verbal or physical support for budget or banking needs.
About You:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
- Understanding of support planning, risk assessment, and the Mental Capacity Act (DOLs).
- Experience in or willingness to undertake training on administering medication.
- A full driving license is preferred, and the ability to use a business-insured vehicle to support service users.
- A natural ability to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
