About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client's team in Desford, Leicestershire. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading projects focused on developing new manufacturing technology and systems, ensuring they meet People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects focused on developing new manufacturing technology and systems, ensuring they meet People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost targets.
- Identify business opportunities and justify capital investment to senior stakeholders.
- Develop manufacturing process solutions alongside functional teams, employing tools like process flows and PFMEA's.
- Promote lean manufacturing and quality within the business, enhancing efficiency and standards.
- Manage equipment specifications, installation, and supplier coordination to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and standardized workflows.
Requirements:
- A technical or university degree in manufacturing or an engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Facility Transformation experience – Targeted manufacturing assembly improvements to target volume uplift.
- AGV Fleet management experience is highly desirable.
- Proven project management skills, with experience in delivering large complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and technology development.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
- Desirable: Experience with Industry 4.0, IoT, Assembly Automation, and 6 Sigma Green Belt certification.
