Job Summary:

This role is accountable for managing the global category strategy for Hydraulics across the Building Construction Products (BCP) business. The successful candidate will lead the collaboration with Hydraulics Systems and Components Engineering and suppliers on delivering quality, cost, and performance requirements for hydraulic components across BCP products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-performing global team of supplier development engineers and purchasing professionals who manage the supply base to deliver on BCP's quality, cost, and delivery management (QCLDM) requirements.
  • Develop, mentor, and train personnel capable of delivering the global BCP Hydraulics strategy.
  • Lead supplier performance management for the Hydraulics Category.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, sites, and product groups to develop and optimize a resilient world-class supply base.
  • Represent BCP on the Hydraulics Category Council.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business curriculum or extensive and demonstrated progressive experience in directly related roles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles to procurement processes, ensuring consistent and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing complex strategic relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, driving collaboration, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
