Job Title: Head of Court of Protection

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Court of Protection team as the Head of Court of Protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal training and supervision, with experience in managing teams and delivering high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional lead and legal training to the Court of Protection team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional services.
  2. Supervise the team to ensure they meet operational, financial, and client service performance standards.
  3. Contribute to the overall success of the department and firm, driving business development and case intake.
  4. Implement and uphold all firm policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Lexcel leadership and management culture standards.
  5. Deliver effective supervision of best practice and case management standards across the team.
  6. Engage and communicate with staff to ensure a regular review of processes, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
  7. Provide advice on Court of Protection matters to clients via the free legal advice service.

Requirements:

  • Admitted solicitor or legal executive or equivalent.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Experience of meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Direct contact with clients, face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Working with electronic case management systems.
