We are a well-resourced school with exceptional facilities and a therapeutic team. Our client school is an accredited specialist day school providing a highly individualized learning environment for students aged 3 to 19 with complex needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.
Our students have complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments. They require support managing sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and transitions which often manifest as challenging behaviors.
Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £85-£95 per day, depending on experience and qualifications, paid inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Job Description:
This Learning Support Assistant position requires a passionate and compassionate individual to work towards getting formal qualifications, attend training, and take responsibility for their own development.
You will be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in various learning contexts, including classrooms, local environments, and community settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism to achieve educational and personal goals
- Fostering an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and the rights of all young people
- Emphasizing support and empowerment of young people
- Developing an understanding of Special Education issues and the values of the school
- Providing high-quality support in all aspects of the role
- Participating in physical intervention and personal care routines when required
