Job Description:
Detailed below are the key responsibilities and requirements for this challenging role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage commercial and contractual aspects of designated projects to ensure sound financial performance and adherence to company procedures and core values.
* Prepare accurate and detailed monthly cost reports for review with the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
* Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Main Contract and Sub-Contract Forms and Standard Method of Measurement, as well as preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecast final account.
* Appoint Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures, including procurement and account management, valuations, payment notices, and agreement of final accounts.
* Collaborate closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures.
* Maintain a close working relationship with the client and design team to assist in project success.
* Liaise with Contracts Management to review and monitor project costs while achieving high standards of quality and health and safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of all aspects of the Quantity Surveying process gained through relevant contracting experience from varied construction projects.
* Excellent commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
* Good working knowledge of construction methods and materials, along with their commercial implications.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Good attention to detail, methodical, and organized approach.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* In-depth understanding of project management methods and ability to influence project-specific procedures with Contracts Management.
